Quick start
From nothing to your first swap, and a look at the fee the hook set for it. It takes a few minutes and a tiny amount of gas.
- Get a walletAny browser wallet that can add a custom network works, for example MetaMask or Rabby. The site talks to your wallet directly: there is no sign-up, no account and nothing to install besides the wallet.
- Connect itOpen the App and press Connect wallet. If your wallet does not know Robinhood Chain yet, the site asks it to add the network (chain id 4663); you approve once.
- Hold the tokens of the poolYou need one of the two tokens of the pool you want to trade, and a little ETH for gas.
- Make a swapIn the Swap card choose the direction, type an amount and read the panel under it: the fee the hook would charge right now, how much of it goes to liquidity providers and to the Treasury, and what you will receive. Press Swap. The first time you pay with a token (paying with ETH needs no approval), your wallet asks for two small approvals (your token to Permit2, then Permit2 to the router) before the swap itself.
- See what happenedThe result box shows what you paid, what you received and the fee the hook actually charged, next to the one it previewed. Your swap now appears on Live, and Verify can recompute its fee in your browser.
Why the fee can differ a little from the preview
The hook sets the fee inside your transaction, from the pool’s memory and the timestamp of the block your swap lands in. If another swap lands first, or a few seconds pass, the number can move. The slippage setting is how much worse than the quote you accept: the transaction fails instead of paying you less.
If something goes wrong
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| “No wallet found” | Install a browser wallet and reload the page. |
| “Switch to Robinhood Chain” | Your wallet is on another network. Press the button; the wallet asks you to confirm the switch. |
| “No ETH yet” or a transaction that cannot be sent | Add a little ETH for gas. |
| “Not enough” and the symbol of the token you pay | Your balance of the token you pay is lower than the amount. |
| The swap fails with a slippage error | The fee or the price moved against you between the quote and your transaction. Try again, or raise the slippage a little (0.5%, 1% or 3%). |
| “The pool cannot fill this amount right now” | The amount is larger than the liquidity at the current price. Try a smaller amount. |
